I did not create the Jinns and the human beings except for the purpose that they should worship Me.

So did you think that We created you for nothing, and that you will not be brought back to Us?

Surely, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are signs for the people of wisdom,
who remember Allah standing and sitting, and (lying) on their sides, and ponder on the creation of the heavens and the earth (and say) “Our Lord, You have not created all this in vain. We proclaim Your purity. So, save us from the punishment of Fire.

(Recall) when your Lord brought forth their progeny from the loins of the children of ’Ādam, and made them testify about themselves (by asking them,) “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Of course, You are. We testify.” (We did so) lest you should say on the Day of Judgment, “We were unaware of this,”

The vastness of Hereafter
“God has sent us to bring the people out from the worship of other people to the worship of the Lord of the people, and from the narrowness of this world to the spaciousness of this world and the Hereafter, and from the oppression of religions to the justice of Islam.”
Every soul has to taste death. It is on the Day of Judgement that you shall be paid your rewards in full. So, whoever has been kept away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has really succeeded. The worldly life is nothing but an illusionary enjoyment.
(Nay, you prefer the life of this world. Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. (87;16-17)
And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allah is better and will remain forever. (28;60)
He will say: O woe to me, I wish I had sent good ahead for my life.
Surah Al-Fajr 89:24
This worldly life is nothing but diversion and amusement. Verily, the home of the Hereafter is the true life if only they knew.
Surah Al-Ankabut 29:64
Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. (An-Nisa [4] : 78)
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter – that is the home of [permanent] settlement. (Ghafir [40] : 39)
